# Our commitment to GDPR and US privacy laws

Privacy law applies to public data too. This page summarizes how JobsPipe handles personal data and how you can exercise your rights. The Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum are the binding documents.

## In short

-   We collect job postings, not people. Where a posting names a recruiter or hiring manager, we process that under legitimate interest and keep only what the posting shows.
-   We do not add contact details from other sources, and we do not combine people across sources into profiles.
-   For account data, our Privacy Policy sets out what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the vendors that help us run the service.
-   On our website, optional analytics cookies load only after you accept them, and Cookie settings in the footer changes your choice.
-   Customers who send us personal data are covered by our Data Processing Addendum, which includes breach notice within 72 hours.
-   Customers are independent controllers of the personal data they receive from JobsPipe, as section 4 of our Terms of Service sets out.

## Your rights under the GDPR

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

-   Access the personal data we hold about you, or receive a copy of it.
-   Correct data that is wrong.
-   Delete your data, including having your name removed from postings we serve.
-   Object to our processing, including processing based on legitimate interest.

Email [privacy@jobspipe.dev](mailto:privacy@jobspipe.dev) to exercise any of them. If a posting names you, include the posting or your name. We respond within 30 days. If you have a JobsPipe account, you can also delete it yourself in the dashboard under Settings. You may complain to your local data protection authority.

## US state privacy laws

We do not sell or share personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA). We do not run ad-targeting trackers.

If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you can ask to:

-   Know and access the personal information we hold about you.
-   Delete it.
-   Correct it.

Send the request to [privacy@jobspipe.dev](mailto:privacy@jobspipe.dev). We respond within 30 days and may ask for details that let us find the data the request is about. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.
