Contact us at [privacy@jobspipe.dev](mailto:privacy@jobspipe.dev). ## What we collect We collect what we need to run the service: account email, hashed password (or OAuth identifier), billing details processed by our payment provider, and usage and technical data: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and the API and MCP requests you make (including tool names and arguments), tied to your account. Search requests, including natural-language requests, and your conversations with our support chat and the dashboard assistant are processed by AI model providers in the USA to answer them. ## Cookies Cookies that keep you signed in are always on. Our basic analytics is a self-hosted Umami instance that we operate ourselves; it sets no cookies and no third party receives its data. On every visit we also run Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used (session recording and heatmaps) and sets cookies, and our own visitor analytics script. We also set a cookie holding a random visitor id, and a second one recording that it covers all of jobspipe.dev, kept for up to a year, used only to keep the version of a page you see consistent while we test changes and to count whether visitors sign up; it contains no personal information. If you have not chatted with us, we may show one short message above the chat button while you read. To show it only once per visit, your browser keeps a marker until you close it; the marker holds no identifier and is never used to recognise you. ## What we do not collect We do not sell personal data. We do not run ad-targeting trackers. ## Job-posting data JobsPipe collects job postings that are public without a login (see our [Trust Center](https://jobspipe.dev/trust)). Some postings name a recruiter or hiring manager, or include their work contact details. We process that under our legitimate interest in making public job postings searchable, and we limit it: we keep only what the posting itself shows, we do not add contact details from other sources, and we do not combine people across sources into profiles. If a posting names you and you want that removed, or you object to this processing, email [privacy@jobspipe.dev](mailto:privacy@jobspipe.dev) with the posting or your name. We respond within 30 days and stop serving it; copies in backups expire on their normal schedule. Our assessment of this legitimate interest is available on request. ## JobsPipe for Chrome Our Chrome extension sends us the domain or company name you look up, and only when you open its panel, use its shortcut or menu item, or search in it. It does not read page content, collect full URLs or record your browsing history. To sign you in, it keeps the access tokens from your JobsPipe sign-in (or an API key you paste) in your browser's extension storage and sends them only to api.jobspipe.dev; Disconnect in its settings, or removing the extension, deletes them. Lookups are processed like any other API request and count toward your credits. We use this data only to provide the extension's features, we do not sell or transfer it to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or to determine creditworthiness. ## How we use data To operate, secure, and improve the service; to bill you; to respond when you contact us; and to comply with legal obligations. ## Sub-processors We use a small set of vendors to run the service, for hosting, payments, email, logging, analytics, network security and AI models. The full, current list with roles and regions is in the [Data Processing Addendum](https://jobspipe.dev/dpa). ## Your rights Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can delete your account yourself in the dashboard under Settings, Profile. To exercise these rights, email [privacy@jobspipe.dev](mailto:privacy@jobspipe.dev). We respond within 30 days. ## Retention Account data is retained for the life of the account plus 90 days. Your per-account request history is kept for 90 days so you can review it in the dashboard; other API and diagnostic logs are kept for up to 30 days for debugging and abuse prevention. ## Security Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.
