# Introducing the Labour Market Pulse: free monthly hiring and salary data from live postings

Free monthly aggregates from the JobsPipe corpus: hiring demand by occupation and industry, advertised-salary percentiles with visible sample sizes, and the AI pay premium. Computed from real postings, never surveys - with suppressed thin cells, a published disclosure rate, and permanently archived snapshots you can cite.

Today we’re releasing the [Labour Market Pulse](/pulse): free monthly labour-market aggregates computed from the live JobsPipe postings corpus. Hiring demand by occupation and industry, advertised-salary percentiles, and the pay premium on roles that mention AI tooling - refreshed daily over a rolling 30-day window, downloadable as [CSV](/pulse/pulse.csv), and free to cite with attribution.

## Postings, not surveys

Most salary benchmarks are anchored on government surveys or modeled estimates. The Pulse is computed only from pay ranges that employers state in live job postings. That cuts both ways, and we say so: posted ranges measure _advertised_ pay from disclosing employers, not realized earnings, and only about a quarter of postings across our multi-country corpus state pay at all. So every salary row on the Pulse carries its sample size and a confidence grade, and cells below the minimum sample threshold are suppressed rather than reported. If a number is thin, you’ll know - or you won’t see it.

## What the first snapshot shows

From the July 2026 snapshot: Software Developers are the most-demanded occupation at 15.6% of the corpus (19,136 postings in 30 days), with a median advertised salary of $169,745 across 7,246 salary-bearing postings (P25 $134,200, P75 $210,000). The full tables - fifteen occupations, twelve industries, and the AI pay premium per occupation - are on the [Pulse page](/pulse).

## Archived permanently, verifiably

Each monthly snapshot is committed to our public repository, so every figure carries a timestamp anyone can verify, and the trend series grows from July 2026 onward. Use it in research, journalism, or market analysis with attribution to JobsPipe.
