How often does LinkedIn repost jobs? LinkedIn does not repost on its own. A listing runs for a fixed window, generally 30 days, then expires. What looks like a repost is the employer or its applicant tracking system re-listing the same requisition, which returns with a fresh posting date. How often does LinkedIn repost jobs, and who actually does it

1. The 30-day expiry. LinkedIn listings expire after their window unless the poster renews them. An employer that still needs the role either renews or posts again, and a new listing gets a new date, so an open role that has been open for months can show as posted this week.
2. ATS feeds re-list on their own schedule. Greenhouse, Lever, Workday and the other systems push jobs to LinkedIn through integrations. When a requisition is reopened, edited or moved between locations, the feed can create a fresh listing. That is the automatic part people notice, and it is automation on the employer’s side, not LinkedIn’s.
3. Manual reposts. Recruiters repost to return a role to the top of search results and reset the posted-days-ago label. A listing can also be closed and reopened, which reads as a repost to anyone tracking it. Agencies and high-volume employers do this most, because a fresh date draws applications that a six-week-old listing does not.
4. How to see a repost in data. JobsPipe keeps date_posted as LinkedIn states it and discovered_at from the first crawl sighting. A repost shows a new date_posted against an old discovered_at, and the ghost score adds a point for it.
5. What it means for you. A repost is not proof of a ghost job. It is proof the role has been open a while, which can mean a hard-to-fill position, a reopened requisition or an evergreen listing. Read the days live and the ghost score before deciding, and for an applicant the practical rule is simple: apply to the current listing, but expect the process to be slower than the date suggests.

Read the bars with the method in mind. A high share on a board mostly reflects how that board is crawled: where a stable listing is revisited after gaps of ten days or more it counts as reposted, and where it is checked continuously it does not. LinkedIn and Indeed expire listings, so a re-listed role often arrives as a new posting and is counted as new. The LinkedIn figure is therefore a floor on re-listing, not a ceiling.
