Who owns Revelio Labs?

Revelio Labs is a privately held, venture-backed company based in New York. It was founded in 2018 and is led by chief executive Ben Zweig. Its website names no parent company, and its own press releases describe funding rounds rather than a sale: a seed round in 2021 co-led by Barclays, and a Series A in 2022 led by Elephant Partners. It does not publish how its shares are divided.

That is as far as primary sources go. The Series A announcement lists Alumni Ventures, BDMI, Techstars and Barclays among the additional investors, and the seed announcement names several smaller funds and individual backers. In a venture-backed company, ownership is normally split between founders, employees and those investors, with the exact stakes kept private, so any site that claims a precise ownership breakdown is estimating. Revelio Labs has also been a buyer: in 2025 it announced the acquisition of Salary Board, a compensation data provider, to extend its pay analytics. We found no announcement of Revelio Labs itself being acquired as of September 2026, but check its newsroom if the answer matters to a contract.

For a data buyer, ownership matters mostly as a continuity question: whether the vendor will be there, and on the same terms, for the life of your integration. The other half of that risk is how replaceable the data is. Profile-based workforce metrics are hard to substitute. The job postings slice is not, because postings are public and several vendors collect them. JobsPipe covers that slice through POST /v1/jobs/search, with company_name_or, job_title_or and posted_at_gte as the usual filters, plus webhooks for new and closed postings.

If you are doing vendor due diligence, ask Revelio Labs directly for its corporate details, data licensing terms and what happens to your feed on a change of control, since those belong in the contract rather than on a website. If you only need hiring activity, the JobsPipe sandbox search endpoint needs no key, and the free tier lets you test the data before any procurement step.

Related questions

Who is the CEO of Revelio Labs?

Ben Zweig is the chief executive. The company's own author page describes him as the CEO of Revelio Labs, a workforce intelligence company that builds a universal HR database from public sources, and he is quoted in that role in both of its funding announcements. The same page lists the research articles he has written for the company's site.

Is Revelio Labs a public company?

It does not appear to be. Its press releases describe venture funding, a seed round in 2021 and a Series A in 2022, which is the financing pattern of a private startup, and we found no stock exchange listing. That also means it has no obligation to publish financial statements or a shareholder register, so details beyond its own announcements are not publicly verifiable.

When was Revelio Labs founded and where is it based?

The company boilerplate in its press releases says Revelio Labs was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in New York. It describes itself as a workforce intelligence company that absorbs and standardizes hundreds of millions of public employment records, and says its team is made up largely of data scientists, economists and engineers, many with advanced degrees.

Has Revelio Labs acquired other companies?

Yes. In 2025 it announced the acquisition of Salary Board, a provider of compensation data and labor market insights with clients in Europe and Asia. The stated aim was to fold that pay data into its workforce database, strengthen its compensation analytics and support international growth. The release, issued by Revelio Labs, said the deal was effective immediately and did not disclose financial terms.
